I Make An Awful Webmistress [Wed August 13th, 2008, 2:48PM EST]

It would seem I'm an awful webmistress considering my site is relatively out-dated and neglected. I've also failed to inform you that I've begun a professional blog on this site. Please visit my blog and enjoy my random writings. I usually have the best of intentions to fix this site up, but then I get so side-tracked. Thank you for tolerating my procrastination and laziness. ^_^

Well, I'm officially a college graduate, and it feels great. Of course, I could do without this job hunting drama, but I should be finished relatively soon. I hate putting in the time while not getting paid for all my hard work. I really want to enjoy my site again.

By the way, here are some links that you can patronize. CafePress offers all sorts of wonderful goodies, from clothing to greeting cards. Please note that the calendars for sale in one shop aren't ready yet, but keep checking back as they should be done by tomorrow evening. Half.com hosts my books for sell. Get 'em while they're hot! I've sold three already, meaning there’re 19 left. I may put some more books up for sale soon, it depends on any particular attachments to said books. So, indulge your inner shopping junkie. ;)

Moving Ever Closer To Graduation [Thurs December 7th, 2006, 1:17PM EST]

I finished my MyStory project for Hypermedia today. Of course, this is meant to be an on-going self-discovery project now, but right now it's for a grade. I'm so thrilled to have put my computer geekdom to good use this past year. Changing my major has been just the right move -- even though I may have always thought that veterinary medicine would be my career path. It's cool. ^_~ Graduation is within my grasp, therefore my website will see more love in the very near future. In fact, expect to see Flash goodness as I can now create Flash layouts and animations since I forced myself to learn by signing up for that Independent Study course. Dr. Ulmer raised a good point -- I had to pay tuition for it, but at least that got me motivated to learn something that I would not otherwise have time to do.

And now I know flash layouts! [Tues December 5th, 2006, 11:59PM EST]

I just finished Project Four for my independent study. Check out my awesome flash layout skills. ^_~

So, I've been peeking around at my site and realizing that I have my work cut out for me. I have out-dated information, not-so-fresh layouts, and new ideas that have been nagging me for months -- even years -- straight. On the agenda:

  • Creating a "portfolio" of my undergraduate projects to showcase my abilities
  • Adding links to the "About the Author" section for my MySpace, FaceBook, portfolio, and pets
  • Changing the links for Brian and Rob on the "About the Author" section to my family, linking to a different menu
  • Updating the galleries in the same manner as the Sailor Moon gallery
  • Unveiling the new Cassi/Twin2 senshi form
  • Redoing a bunch of other things

How daunting. Is it December yet? I'd like to indulge in my hobbies once more. ;.;

I'm taking a Hypermedia class and an independent study course. I have learned how to properly alter CSS coding and create flash animation. You may view my masterpieces, Project Three and Mystory. Unfortunately, this is all I have for you at this time. However, I will be graduating this December, so perhaps I may yet get to work on the site.

Project Two is now open for business. I would put more effort into this update, but I am absolutely exhausted. Yay for the end of classes!

I'm officially declaring that Project Two is being worked on. It is due for completion April 26th, 2006 by 4:05PM EST (or probably more like April 27th, 2006 at 8:00AM EST if Ulmer decides the same thing he did for P.1).

Of course, this by no stretch of the imagination means it will be done before the deadline in the next eight weeks. Oh no, sir! I'm sure you've all learned that Ms. Scorpio is a total, utter slacker-procrastinator! ::two big thumbs up, goofy grin and all:: Buona notte!

Project One = COMPLETE! Of course, I have until 4:05PM EST today to make any revisions to screwed up coding or spacing or other such nonsense. If you see something that looks wacked out, by all means EMAIL ME!!! Domo arigatou (mr. roboto), minna-chan!

Despite the fairly rough week I had at work, I'm in pretty good spirits. I have truly enjoyed working on my project for Net Lit so far, and I don't foresee myself disliking it at all. Granted, I might get cranky now that I have entered crunch time, but I am looking forward to the end result. As always, Alu-chan has been whispering wonderful ideas into my head, forcefully making his presence known on my project infact. Remember, you can find my project here.

On a totally unrelated note, my new toy (a Phillips 30GB MP3 Player that took saving from my birthday and Christmas to afford) has been bringing me much joy and inspiration. I can NOT wait to start working on my Twin # 2 stuff. ^_^ Sayonara, minna-chan!

Unveiling Project One: Under Construction [Sun February 18th, 2006, 3:07AM EST]

Well, I've gotten the preliminary coding done for now. It's a skeleton subdomain right now, and I also need to verify with Janelle of Sailor Moon Millenia & The Birds of Hermes that it's okay to use their sites for my project. However, I'm sure they wouldn't mind the extra page hits. ^_~ This is my hope, anyway.

So have a peek at Project One for my Net Lit course. The final version is due out on March 1st, 2006. Keep an eye out for my work. Sayonara! ^_^

Poll Result/Happy New Year/Project Undertaking [Mon February 6th, 2006, 11:54AM EST]
[ mood | bothered ]
[ music | The sounds of people, typing, walking, etc. in the Circa Lab at UF ]

As far as the poll results go, Sailor Earth won the vote. However, I found it to be quite popular among the fanfictional world. While I realize Sailor Scorpio isn't exactly obscure either, I'm not so sure I want to plunge into the realm of "overdoneness." Unfortunately for you guys, I'm not revealing the way I want to go yet. ^_^ Aren't I mean for hiding my ideas like that? Yeah, but it keeps it fresh for me because I know it's something unused at this point in time (or better be!).

I'm also working on a project for my Internet Literature course. This requires me to read massive amounts of "e-literature," to which I've discovered can include fanfiction for our general, class purposes. Score one for me! I will not only post a link to the actual site, but I will also store my site on a mirror subdomain here. Or something along those lines, anyhow.

So by May, we'll probably have the unavailing of Cassi's new senshi identity. Let me just say that I will be designing something super cool. I'm also undertaking an explanation of things because I feel like people might be pointing and saying "Mary Sue! Mary Sue!", and well, it was, but it's not so much anymore. In a sense, my Sailor Scorpio character and I have very much distanced ourselves from each other (read: she's a non-existent character with super freaking powers, and I'm a human being with responsibilities and no magical powers to make them go away!).

Bye for now, minna-chan! ^_^ Alu-chan shall be picking at my brain more for you guys later!

Final Poll to Determine Cassi/Twin Number Two's Senshi Name [Tues December 27th, 2005, 10:12PM EST]
[ mood | hazy ]
[ music | Rammstein "Heirate Mich", Slipknot "People = Sh*t" ]

It's been about a over half a year since I made that detailed poll with some names I was throwing around. I didn't get many voters (33 people), but that's fine. It was certainly enough to pick the top five names, and thusly I created the new poll. Please vote for the name you like best by January 5th, 2006 at 9:00PM EST. At that point in time, I will make the winning name the new name for Cassi. Also, Alu-chan has been nagging me to play with my website. We'll see what I can do. ^_~

New Layout for the Sailor Moon Gallery! [Sun August 14th, 2005, 6:46PM EST]

My sweet and wonderful hubby decided to create a layout for me one day, and I loved it so much that I told him exactly what I wanted to use it for -- my Sailor Moon image gallery. Now that we're moved into our new place, I've taken the time to upload it. If you love it as much as I do, you should contact him and see if he'll design something for you. He is an excellent designer. ^_^

So instead of studying for my upcoming test or packing for my impending move, I've sat down and turned the news page into a journal style layout. I'm quite pleased with my progress so far because I've been meaning to do this all summer. ^_^ ::pets her new news layout::

Seems like a couple months go by, and I don't do anything with this because of life. Let me at least say that I have an issue to my previous issue. I was seriously considering changing my career goals because I had my moments of doubt and frustration. After some hardcore thinking, conversations with some friends and family, and a little research in the Occupational Outlook Handbook, I've decided I definitely like my path just as much as I did when I was seven. Why let stupid things like time or science scare me off now? About time I've come to my senses.

My goodness, I'm a slacker! Work, school, and family have taken control of me. Lost a pet, gained a couple new ones. Taking a journaling hiatus due to some very personal reasons. X.X; Being stalked by a psychotic girl in Washington as well as my younger sister -- Girls, I have a stat counter/tracker, I can see you looking. Fun stuff, fun stuff. Just wanted to make sure I did update that I've gotten a job. Sayonara, minna-chan!

First and foremost, happy 3rd marriage anniversary to me and my husband!!!!!!!!! ^_^ Secondly, allow to me to introduce myself: I am the new afternoon Kennel Technician for a cat hospital!!! I was hired as of Wednesday, and started on Friday. Awesome job. ^_~ Now, on to business. I realized my first poll might not be explanatory enough, so I devised this new one that you should go vote in. Eventually when I have a top three or five list, I'll post that, and we'll narrow it down that way. My classes are obviously keeping me supremely busy, mainly because the one is supposed to end mid-June. I'm finding that they should've offered it for the whole summer instead. ::shrugs:: A failed experiment yields some knowledge at least, though. Alucard has been whispering lots of things into my ear. Although it's not posted yet, I've gotten some bits and pieces finished. Alright, well go vote so poor Cassi can have her Senshi name! ^_~ \\//

Ugh. This professor is bordering between weirdly interesting and boring, so I'm wasting time while listening to my lectures. I'd like you to vote for Cassandra's new Senshi name. Domo arigato, minna-chan! ^_^

I made some new buttons and uploaded them to the site. You'd basically notice changes with the guestbook/slambook links, the links on the Links page to the previously awarded sites, and links between the parts of the long story fic (not that it matters ^_^;). I tried tweaking some other stuff, only to find I didn't like how it looked. I have a test on Monday, so I probably won't do much over the weekend. I'll probably work on some pictures to procrastinate, but that's only if Alucard starts prodding me to do so. Until Monday evening... ^_~ \\//

I just got the Sailor Senshi gallery uploaded and running. I have decided to take a few classes this summer, but they're online. No big deal. It's a very long story that maybe you'll hear about at the end of the summer. It depends on where this journey in life takes me. ^_~ Alucard says he's not touching it with a 40 foot poll, hehe.

I just had a productive evening editting and redesigning some of the website. I still have a pretty extensive list of things to do, but somethings require more thought, time, and effort. I would expect to see a lot of changes during the next week. My muse has been on my shoulder whispering lots of ideas into my head lately. ^_~ EDIT: Oh joy. Angelfire dealt their last blow to me, it would seem. They had deleted my entire Sailor Senshi image collection. The only thing left were picture titles from when I used the cheesy Angelfire templates. It would appear my endeavors have been once again thwarted. e.e; I *HATE* Angelfire.

After a long, tiring night, I've editted three image galleries, fixed most broken links, editted links to buttons, and uploaded my résumé. I'm quite satisfied with my work for the night, and hopefully I'll accomplish some more over the weekend. I'm actually considering taking summer classes, but I have until May 10th at 11:59PM to make up my mind. Let's just say it depends on job offers. Well minna-chan, this is Sailor Scorpio signing off for the night! ^_^ \\//

I've polished up the index page, redesigned the main page for Sailor Scorpio: Behind the Fuku, and uploaded skeleton pages for that portion of the site. Obviously, I made a new button. Alucard's taken on the role of being my muse, although he's an awkward muse. LOL ^_~
